Last week, North Leverton mill fell victim to theft of valuable items from the mill. Two sets of sail shackles, one pair of stump irons, a spider crank, one forked sail rod, a quant for the French stones including a stone nut and at least two line shaft pulleys!
Please ensure your mill/property is not the next to fall foul of these thoughtless VANDALS who go around the country, claiming what they want and take it no matter what it is or how heavy it is. They CERTAINLY dont care about its historical value!!!!
Please, please do keep an eye open for any of the above items in scrap yards, auctions or sales etc. and please let us know if you see anything taken from our mill.
To think of these items being melted down makes me sick!
