Note on envelope reads “Photographer unknown (may have been Walter Rose). This windmill stood on the site of a post mill which was burnt down. Mill Road seen in the foreground and the mill site were incorporated into the airfield c 1939-40.” The photographer is identified as Miss E Saunders on the print in the SPAB collection.
