The written message on reverse of photograph reads, ” Welney Cambs about 1920, Copy Photo F. Farrow. His grandfather, William Farrow left employment out Manea six-sailed mill and worked Welney from a date unknown. In 1894 mill bought by Mr James Lowden, who was working a mill at Christchurch and gave Mr Farrow 12 months notice. The mill was originally moved from Welney House Farm on the Wisbech Road by a crab and was on the road for 3 Sundays. W Lowden on R. Dr Burgers on L.”
