Stuart Grimwade comments: “As a child (in the 1940s) I recall fishing in the pool with my parents, when the mill was in operation, and the miller reading aloud some of his own poetry to my mother, who was entranced! The mill at that time had three stories but the top storey was later burned in a fire.”
