Part of Billings’ unpublished manuscript. Illustration of a post mill taken from the Luttrell Psalter (14th century manuscript). The mill has four sails and is in the centre of the picture, topped by a cockerel. An archer on the left of the picture is about to fire an arrow at the castle which fills the right hand side.
