Fulling Mill, Bryn Glas

£24.00

High resolution digital image from our catalogue

The seventh item is the second photograph featuring the fulling mill known by the name of Bryn Glas. The term Bryn Glas is the Welsh for “green” or “blue hill”. The precise location is not identified and only the detail that the mill was situated within the historic county of Merionethshire (modern day Gwynedd) is recorded. Therefore, the mill’s name should not be confused with the more well known area of the city of Newport in South Wales which shares the same name. The photograph is dated to the year 1955.
