Note on reverse reads “Brill Windmill. Taken by S. Freese Oct 22 1960, twelve years after fitting new sails (Oct 1 to 4. 1948). No repairs have been done on the sails, but some more weather boards have been renewed. The roof wants reboarding as the boards the Bucks C.C. sent for me to put on are as thin as paper.”
