The Bibbys of Conder Mill were prominent in the milling and feed industry, with Edward Bibby purchasing Conder Mill in 1830. His grandsons then established J. Bibby and Sons; which from a single flour mill near Lancaster in 1820 to a public diversified food products business involved in feed, meal, edible oils, dairy soaps and paper products.
