Exploring one of our Friends’ privileges: high-resolution images

Did you know that as a Friend you can download 5 free high-resolution images from our catalogue, every month?

To mark the launch of our new website and online catalogue and to thank our supporters, we introduced a new privilege for our Friends. As a Friend, you can log onto our website and browse our online catalogue, and as an image catches your eye you can download a digital copy to keep for your own personal use and private study.

Not only can you do this once, but five times every month, and at a high resolution.

Take this image of Gaywood Mill, Norfolk, at its original resolution above. The windmill is off in the distance and the foreground is the most prominent. At high resolution, however, you can tease out the even the smallest details. Not only can you examine the windmill more closely, you also spot the family going for a stroll, a child pushing the pram.

If you are already a Friend and haven’t yet explored this feature, why not have a dabble and let us know what you discover?

If you are not yet a Friend, you may wish to consider becoming a Friend to enjoy this enhancement, while supporting a good cause and joining a community with similar interests. Other privileges for our Friends include our biannual newsletter Mill Memories, invitations to our events, and a 10% discount on purchases made on our online bookshop.
