Lieutenant Commander John Hone, a valued member of the Hampshire Mills Group, died peacefully in Queen Alexandra’s Hospital on Saturday 22nd September 2012 following a severe stroke.
We are anxious to reach as many people as possible who knew John Hone. A memorial service has been arranged for all the people who knew him and shared the restoration tasks he and his wife worked on as members of both HMG and HIAS over many years.
His daughter, Lucy Hone, would be pleased for any of his former friends and colleagues to attend the celebration of his life on Friday, 5th October, at St Mary’s Alverstoke, Green Road, Alverstoke PO12 2ET and for refreshments in the Parish Centre immediately afterwards.
