Stone mill waterwheel

The fifty ninth photograph is identified simply as “Stone mill” as a consequence of an amendment. Of course, there were two operational water mills on the river Avon in the small Gloucestershire village of Stone namely Middle Mill and Woodbridge Mill. Frustratingly, there is no clear indication as to which mill is being referred to. Therefore, for this reason both “Middle Mill, Stone” and “Woodbridge Mill, Stone” have been added as Access Points. The note is written on the back of the photograph that “The two wheels at Stone mill – Gloucestershire. Breast shot on left – undershot right.” Once again, the image is undated.
