The written message behind the photograph reads, ”This mill stood in the line of the railway and was moved to in its present position when the railway was made. 2 prs of stones, one in breast and one in tail. Flour dresser and cross tail. Brake wheel of wood with morticed teeth. 3 1/2″ pitch and 6′ – 6″ pitch dia. Wallow wheel similar but smaller dia. An exceedingly difficult mill to photograph as it is practically surrounded by a hedge.”
