The Jack and Jill Windmills Society believe this is not Clayton Tunnel as the topography is wrong and there was no windmill at that relative position. It is more likely to be Belmont Tunnel (the tunnel joining Preston Park to Hove) depicting Jill Windmill (then known as Lashmar’s New Mill) when she stood in Brighton.
