Pandy Watermill, Bryn Glas

£24.00

High resolution digital image from our catalogue

The eighty second item is a photograph featuring the water wheel pertaining to the mill known as the”Pandy Mill”of Bryn Glas. The term of Bryn Glas is Welsh for “green” or “blue hill”. The precise location is not identified and only the detail that the mill was situated within the historic county of Merionethshire (modern day Gwynedd) is recorded. Therefore, the mill’s name should not be confused with the more well known area of Newport in South Wales which shares the same name. Pandy is of course the Welsh word for “fulling mill”. The item is dated to the year 1954.
