Pen and ink drawing, M684 Monknash tower mill, 6 miles SW of Cowbridge. Karl Salsbury note that this was the mill he considered the oldest in the country. It bears traces of pre Reformation decorations and it is from this that he based his assumptions. No miller ever decorated his mill after 1540 in such an integral fashion.
