This book gives, in addition to an almost encyclopaedic completeness as far as the mills of the Zaansteek are concerned, a clear explanation of the type and construction of all types of windmills that occurred on the Zaansteek.  Each individual mill is accompanied by a short description of the history, the type of mill and the (former) location. 16 cross-sections drawings of  windmill types are included in the front of the book.  A second edition of the book was published in 1968.
