Black and white image of Eddie French installing a diesel engine in the engine house at Chesterton Mill. Eddie worked for Listers, a Cambridge engineering firm. The engine powered the roller mill and the stones etc in the windmill until closure in 1955. This engine was then dismantled and sent to Iraq to power water pumping.
