On the Gallos Brook, this complex consisted of stone buildings, including a mill, miller’s house and cottages. The mill had a 10 ft overshot wheel. In 1970 the mill was no longer operational as the wheel was missing, and the buildings were occupied by hens! In the early 1980s no gear remained but the buildings were in domestic use. Nearby, at SP 530 185, embankments and water courses, which mark the site of a mediaeval mill, were still visible in 1970.
