On the Sore Brook, this was originally a corn mill, which was converted to paper and back to corn. By the 1980s the head pond was lost. All iron mill work with layshaft drive from pit to cross shaft with bevels up to stones, cone clutch drive to hoist survived at that time.
A second, adjacent mill, also on the Sore Brook, had by the 1980s been adapted for domestic use.
