On the River Evenlode, this mill, a large stone building, was constructed towards the end of the 19th century. In the early 1900s Henry Charles Waters was the miller. The mill worked up to the Second World War with up-dated gear, turbine-driven and with an auxiliary oil engine. By the early 1980s it had been stripped out.
