Built in 1812 by Thomas Woollsey, and in Suffolk until the boundary changed in the 1880s, this was one of the largest windmills in England. It passed through various owners, eventually being purchased by Press Brothers in the late 19th century. It ceased working in 1898 and its sails were removed, but it probably continued working by steam as a grist mill until 1900. It was demolished in 1905.
