An important smock mill that has been restored. It was removed from Chesham in 1821, having originally been built c1650, and is said to be the oldest smock mill in England. Having become derelict, it underwent restoration by the Chiltern Society in the 1970s. Before that it was used for corn milling and operated with four patent sails. The gearing was entirely of wood. The mill is Grade II* Listed.
