Tower mill, Epwell

A wind-powered corn mill in the historic county of Oxfordshire, England.

This tower mill, built of yellow sandstone and with 4 patent sails, is said to have worked until 1912. It is shown on Ogilby’s maps of the coach routes of England (1675). Although carrying four sweeps and appearing to be in working order in 1907, the mill was described as out of use. There are no remains.
