Lower Mill ceased work in 1966. It was restored in the 1980s and beame a tourist attraction, and later a Tourist Information Centre from 2001 to 2019. In 2019 the Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust took on the care of the building and began restoration work.

Both mills are Category A Listed and the Old Granary Category B Listed.
