Flax spinning mill on the River Don. Leys Masson and Co, 1792- 1848. Then wool, J & J Crombie until 1995. At least 4 waterwheels, and still has a Boving turbine of c1930 in the largest wheelpit (where 1820s wheel was removed in 1905), with associated Thomson fire-pump. The wheelhouse was briefly a restaurant and old mill is apartments.
