Mill structure appears to be unique. It had six sails braced to a bowsprit, a very thin braced tailpole and a very flattened octagonal cap with a curved dormer to house the front of the windshaft, a finial with weather vane, and a shallow petticoat painted white. The tower was squat, vertically boarded and with a wooden drip board all round about 4 ft. 6 in. from the ground.
