The mill had a large wagon-roofed cap winded by a single tailpole. The tower was clad with vertical boarding.

The mill at Sund drove a single vertical saw set in a wooden frame, had a circular penthouse cap with a low flattened roof, a deep vertically-bosrded petticoat, and was of slender proportions.
