A water-powered corn mill in the historic county of Kent, England.

The mill at Shalmsford Street is a large part brick and part weatherboarded building with a luccam, it worked until early this century. Little machinery remains, only two iron hurst frames for supporting the millstones, and a wheel-pit for a wide breastwheel survive as indications of the former layout. Adjoining the mill is a turbine house containing a 4' turbine with spur-gearing to a pump. In 1993, this mill was largely derelict, and threatened with development.
