This mill consists of a three-storey white weatherboarded building said to have been built in 1817, with a large adjoining steam mill, erected in 1889. It worked until November 1929, and retained some machinery, notably the cog pit gearing, until it was converted into flats in 1987. The waterwheel, an iron overshot 12' x 8' wide wheel probably made by Weeks of Maidstone, was however restored to working order.
