This was a very small mill built of brick and stone under a tiled half hipped roof, which is all set below a pond embankment. Extensive waterwheel score marks indicate that a wheel of 14ft diameter worked here. The mill is empty but there is a concrete base suggesting oil or diesel power. With such a large availability of water and a 30ft high pond embankment, far too large for such a small mill, it appears that it was a pen pond for the iron working forge situated downstream.
