Two mills attached to Wendover Manor were recorded in Domesday Book. Several early records of water mills use a variety of names – Upper, Nether, Poyntz and Fulling Mill – and it is not obvious either whether they occupied more than two sites or where these mills stood. By the 1930s the mill known as Wendover or Old Mill had been rebuilt, the machinery removed, and had become a residence.
