Traces of two adjacent mills can be identified. At SP 395 299 the mill, built in the 17th century for wool processing, was abandoned in the 1830s. The pond, canal and wheel chamber from the site of the mill were still visible in the 1970s and 1980s. Nearby, at SP 402 304, traces of ponds and buildings, with two water-wheels, are evident at a site known locally as “Bone Mill”.
