Scope & content | This 30 page booklet has a summary in English on pages 7-8. This windmill stopped working in 1965 and its restoration started in 1965/66. The Danish text is mainly a biography of the past millers at Havnbjerg Mill up to 1800. There is also text in German (Hackenberg Mule). on pages 19-30. The German text is an exact estate valuation of the 1776 post mill carried out in 1806 following the marriage of the new miller, and the mill owner's widow to safeguard the interest of the widow's four children. Havnbjerg Mill was rebuilt as a smock mill some 30 years later. The restoration was supervised by the National Museum Mill Preservation Board. |
