Scope & contentThe original Kaleko watermil[ is the oldest mill on Funen, possibly from around 1340-75. In 1923 it became an independent institute and a museum.

There is not much information on the mill before 1643 when it was joined with the neighbouring Kaleko farmhouse (also spelled Kallegud), which has existed from 1440. In 1594 the Kolkot Mill (different spelling) had one
    water wheel and one mill.

The current mill has two water wheels and it is presumably built to replace the old mill in early 17th century.

This 51-page booklet has drawings, maps, documents and photographs on the Mill and the Kaleko farmhouse and various instruments used in the mill and the house.
