Scope & content | Amy’s interest in the agriculture and food sectors was sparked by being brought up on a farm in North Yorkshire. After working on various livestock and crop enterprises, she went on to study agricultural business management and Agricultural Economics at the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Upon attaining her degree, her initial role was as an economist in the meat and livestock sector, with a particular focus on beef and poultry. Since 1998, Amy has served as an Economist with the London-based International Grains Council.
