    Scope & contentContains a history of the windmills in Woodchurch including its destruction and attempt to raise money to preserve the White/Lower mill with photographs of the mills in their prime and after the sails were damaged.

    Features in their fundraising were the local "Bonfire Girls", a community group that sold tickets for a dance at the County Hotel with showgirls from the Windmill Theatre in London, presenting prizes. The event raised £200 in the late 1950s
