Our Heritage Partners
We want to build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with organisations that share our vision. We offer bespoke schemes to cater for the unique needs of large and small organisations who wish to support us. In return, we provide publicity, specialist archival assistance and expert advice, use of our facilities, waived copyright fees and a wide range of other benefits.
The Heritage Partnership and Corporate Friendship schemes are open to all organisations – charitable, commercial and academic, large and small, heritage-related or otherwise.
What we offer
Publicity
- Weekly newsletter
- Biannual Mill Memories magazine
- Social media
Free and reduced-price attendance at our dedicated archival training workshops.
Every year, Heritage Partners may send one delegate per archival workshop at no charge. High-quality support materials are provided for you to keep and use for future reference.
Our workshops address caring for your archival collection, covering important topics such as:
- How to look after your material;
- How to store it;
- How to record what you have and how to retrieve it.
Copyright benefits
For non-commercial use such as for small educational exhibitions and display boards, we can usually waive copyright fees altogether depending upon the requirement. For commercial use such as in films or larger scale publications, you benefit from much-reduced copyright fees. It is always worth enquiring first as we will take into account the particular circumstances when calculating copyright fees.
Display your archive on our website
We can make available a space on our online catalogue where you can upload items from your archive. See examples here.
Our popular website will feature a dedicated page for your organisation, and you may provide us with the information you wish us to publish on our site.
Archiving advice and assistance
As a Heritage Partner, you have access to specialist archiving advice and assistance by phone and email.
Research services
You will enjoy a reduced fee (and free initial time allocation) when we conduct research on your behalf, using both catalogued and uncatalogued material as well as the rich collection of mill books in our Library. You may request high-resolution scanned images from our image bank.
