Our Friends’ Garden Party on Saturday 7th July was a big success and we even had a birthday cake!
In spite of the weather, more than 50 supporters turned out and had a good time, helping us to celebrate our 10th birthday.
Visitors were impressed not just by the quantity and quality of our work and the enthusiasm of our volunteers, but also by the newly refurbished Tin Tabernacle (aka the Garden Hall) in the walled garden at Watlington House.
During July we are hosting two more meetings at the Archive:
- July 18th The History of Reading Society is visiting us
- July 25th We welcome the Berkshire Family History Society
Both promise to be interesting evenings and will make full use of the Archive facilities and the Garden Hall – contact the societies if you would like to come!
