So many mill memories have been captured and shared over the 20th century using Kodak technology. Many will mourn the passing of an age.

The Mills Archive has its share of Box Brownie photos and we even have a Carousel projector. Fortunately we use the technology that left Kodak behind, and scan both photos and slides, and not only to make them available on the Internet.

An important advantage of digitising is that the images provide electronic surrogates of the originals, which mean they can largely be left undisturbed once they have been processed, Damage through handling used to be a big problem for archives; now our images can be inspected without a magnifying glass or even cotton gloves.
