The SPAB Mills Section has just launched an appeal for contributions to its Mill Repair Fund. Pointing out that a small amount of money can go a long way to help keep a mill standing, we are asking members and the public for funds to allow practical steps to help those mills we have left.

The Section set up in 1929 has given important support to the repair of many mills. Unfortunately the picture today has changed. We have lost many of them through neglect or other reasons, so it is all the more important to save what we have left, whether they are working mills or just for visitors to look at.
