A4 booklet, 50pp. The gazetteer provides data on each mill’s mail historical and physical features.It lists over one thousand traditional windmill sites i(including the Isle of Wight and the Scilly Isles) that have significant visible remains. Most of these sites have more substantial mill structures.
Included with the gazetteer is the companion volume “Origins and Development of the Windmill Gazetteer for England” (see separate image)
written by Niall Roberts and Tony Bryan in 1999, it is an invaluable explanation of the detailed entries in the gazetteer itself
